 After a 14 year gap in my education, I returned to college in 2017 to finish my Bachelor's Degree in English, graduating in the spring of 2019. I found that I did not want to stop writing and learning, however. Currently, I am a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Center for Writers Program at the University of Southern Mississippi where I serve both in the Writing Center and the classroom. My primary focus, however, has been studying the craft of literary fiction. In my first semester of grad school, I published my first short story, "Woman Friend" in South 85 Journal. Following that, my story, "Silence" was published in White Wall Review.
